passes after 6 months - jump seat only till then. SJU flights from DFW always full, not sure about ORD. recommend the crashpad route.

That sounds about right.

If you can get LGA as a newhire that might be the best commute from ORD. Just about hourly service from AA and UA all day long. MIA or DFW would be my 2nd choice commuting from Chicago. Good luck

Eagle pilot dress standards
I have an interview in two weeks, and will need a good haircut and probably a shave before then. Could any current Eagle pilots share the uniform requirements regarding hair and facial hair so just I can make sure I know what they look for.
I'm used to military standards, and could easily go back to those in a pinch, but I thought I'd see if I could find more specifics.

9.14 Grooming and Hair
A. Male
1) Hair will not touch the ears or the collar except the closely cut hair on the back
of the neck. Hair will be groomed so that it will not protrude below the front
band of the uniform cap. Sideburns will be neatly trimmed and tapered. The
base of the sideburns will be a clean shaven horizontal line and will not be
flared. Sideburns will not extend below the mid-earlobe.
2) The acceptability of a crewmember's hair style will be based upon criteria in
the above paragraph and not upon his hair. The face will be clean shaven at
all times including ground and flight training, except mustaches, which are
permitted. Mustaches must be neatly trimmed, cannot extend beyond the
corners of the mouth and are not to be of unusual nature or size. Beards or
goatees are not permitted. Wigs or hairpieces will not be worn by
crewmembers while in uniform or on duty except for cosmetic reasons to
cover natural baldness or physical disfigurement.
B. Female
1) Hair shall be neatly styled. Makeup and jewelry shall be worn conservatively
and tastefully.
2) In no case will the bulk or length of the hair interfere with the proper wearing
of headgear. Extraordinarily long, extreme, ragged or unkept hair, which
precludes the proper wear of any such headgear, is prohibited.

Agreed. Regardless of when or from where the senior FT pilots are forced out of their seats to American are based, the reshuffle to follow will by in seniority order leaving the most junior bases in the sorest need of new hires. SJU ATR and LGA/JFK EMB are the most junior bases the last time I checked.
Ironically, after usurping the seniority system by kicking out the FT pilots to AA, the remaining pilots will gleefully be proclaiming seniority rights to claim the seats and domiciles most advantageous to themselves.

You aren't all quashing my dreams of living and working out of Chicago are you? I heard there would be some openings there, and I already have a job commuting, and don't want to make a lateral move from one carrier to another if there is little to gain from it. I interview shortly and was hoping ORD would be on the table.
