Yes that is complete BS. There are thousands of us furloughed and unemployed and they put a 12 month work currency. No offense but now some 1000 hour CFI is going to get first dibs because he's 12 month current on a job! It just goes to show you that airline HR are idiots. How about you put some furloughed pilots back to work, it's only an ERJ. This is what I was afraid of, when hiring starts again they'd put ridiculous mins like this. I hope the unions can get involved in an effort bring in more furloughed back.

Well I don't know if they're official but the mins posted a few posts back had a 12 month flying currency. That eliminates a lot of us.

I wonder what they are using as "12 month flying currency"? Are they just talking about being FAA current the past 12 months? What about the furloughed pilot who flew a rented 172 every 90 days to stay current and shot an instrument approach twice a month?

just a question. but how many furloughed regional pilots got their instructor ratings since being furloughed? or how many had it before going to the airlines?
Could it be possible that management does not want furloughed pilots because if the pilots get a call back they might leave and go back to their original airline? or do they make furloughed pilots give up their spot? does anyone know?

Someone on here was saying they make you give up your seniority at the other airline anyways.

The mins said current flying job and in parenthesis 12 months. It's probably unofficial though, it can't be a hard min especially during these times. Although airlineapps is a database and computers don't really make judgement......
