Not mocking you man, just making fun of our great leader and pres. PB. After he closed BOS crew base he said in some video that it was a "privilege for our crews to commute."

Just got the interview call this morning. For those who haven't been called yet, I think they're making calls in date of application order. I've had mine in since early-mid January, so if you have the mins, you might get the call. Thanks for all the info guys and feel free to PM me with any advice/info. Plus, what's the deal with the CA review board? Are they the final say as to if you get the job?!

May I ask what your times are? What happens if you update your app? Does airlineapps resubmit your application again forcing you back to the bottom?

If you have the posted mins, you may as well apply. You never know what this hiring board is looking for. They may want tons of experience, they may want people who are less likely to jump ship if hiring elsewhere starts up, they may want any mix of different experience levels

Unfortunately, their mins they are currently looking for are 1000TT and 200ME. It's unlikely with less than that they would call you.

I don't think they are calling people based on when you submitted your application, that doesn't make any sense.

For those that are wondering, and keep asking the same question over and over again, the Captain review board hasn't met, yet. They are sticking to their posted minimums and they are inviting people with various backgrounds and experience levels. The reason I underlined "inviting" is because not everyone is making it through Day 1.

I interviewed last week, and only 2 out of 6 made it through the first day. Yesterday, only 3 out of 6 made it. I did the Tech, Fingerprints and Simulator and then was dismissed after sitting around for an hour. Why? I have no idea. I was shocked and surprised at the same time. I did well on everything and my paperwork was in order. Three others after me also got send home. Why? I don't know. Same thing happened to a couple of people yesterday as well.

What is Eagle looking for? Nobody has figured that out, yet. However, I personally believe they are cracking down now because of 3407, which means clean record, and no more than a couple of checkride failures. They can be as picky as they want.

For those that got interviews coming up, it is really not that hard. The gouges are spot on. Look over Jepps, but most of the time the answer is always in front of you. Just read it! Even if you do well on everything during the inteview and they send you home, don't take it personally. You aren't the first and you won't be the last. The are being very picky, and they can be, as every employer has us by the nuts right now.

Good Luck!

I have over 2100TT, 1300ME, 121 Experience, EMB-145 SIC Type, 1100 Turbine, 400+ dual given, currency and a flying job within last year.

I'm not sure updating your app will make any difference: the last time I updated was about a month ago, so no I don't think updating will send you to the bottom. I've just seen that folks that got the call before me had their app in longer, that's all. Maybe it's just coincidence.

To the last poster: Do you think they're making decisions based on quality of flight time (e.g. 135 flying/121 experience/turbine experience) or do you think it's all at random? I'd like to hear from some folks who got the job offer.

I've heard that when the minimums are higher and they're picky, a lot of airlines "weed out" based on the HR questions, more so than the technical side of things. I figure if they like you, then you get the job, since everyone interviewing is probably a decent pilot and would be fine in training/out on line. If that's true then maybe I need to brush up on my interpersonal skills more than my Jepp plates! Just a thought.

I interviewed last Tuesday and got the conditional offer with 1250 TT and 410 multi, all cfi. All 6 of us made it through to day 2. 4 of us were CFIs and 2 were former 121.

It is interesting to see an airline hiring low time CFIs right now while thousands of experienced pilots sit unemployed.

HR knows that some of the higher time people will probably leave sooner than some of the lower time guys. Also, being furloughed might actually be a disadvantage. I am noticing more regional are stating they want the applicant to give up their seniority at their furloughed airline. Might be too risky to hire someone that is just going to leave once the economy turns around. Lets face it, there is no shortage of pilots and the numbers are getting worse.
