I just looked and my first year, my check on the 15th was about $625 take home and my check at the end of the month was anywhere from $830 on the low end to $2,100 on the high end.

I am single and my have deductions for medical, dental, 401K, and ALPA-PAC.

Guess its a shortsighted benefit of being single and only contributing 5% to 401k.

But I will say that if you bid right, it does help alot with your pay. ie bidding for trips with carry-over into the next month, and selecting yes for transition, not pickin up OT but "saving fuel" in flight, and waiting by the runway for an EDCT "that might get pushed up". Stuff like that adds a couple hundred each month.

Why would you ask that? I'm planning on going.

I talked to Corey Smith today. First ATR new hire class is on Feb. 15th, while first Jet class will be mid april. He confirmed we are looking for about 120+ new hires right now. Said we shouldn't expect another vac/dis bid for a while unless airline scheduling is radically changed i.e. reduced flying or increased flying out of a single base.

Anyone know where on jetnet you can do an internal referral for an FO position. Family member is trying to figure it out.

They took the link away actually. Have them contact HR directly if they want to send in something for you.

Also guys, if you are hoping for a call, you need to be current. That's at least what I heard at least. I went to get an IPC done and 10 days later got a call.

How do you list an IPC on AirlineApps? Isn't there just a space for how many approaches you have flown in the last 6 & 12 months?

One other question: I did a fair amount of my initial instrument training in a Frasca. Could I list that as "sim" time? A Frasca is not technically a simulator, but there is no where else to put it.

You do the IPC in a sim or plane?

While in my logbook I log my FTD time as "Simulator" it's just because that's the closest thing for it.

But an FTD is just that - an FTD and NOT a simulator. Therefore I would assume if it is asking for sim time, you should not list FTD for that. However, you could always ask them by calling. That is just my take on the matter.
