I was a poolie, I interviewed in April of '08 and on the 12th of this month. BOTH INTERVIEWS WERE IDENTICAL. Just read the most current gouges and you'll be fine. Good luck!!!!

No, I already work at Eagle, and it's a relatively good airline (FO pay and long upgrade notwithstanding). FWIW, I've been around so I have some perspective, and I am here for the same reasons you espouse. You are absolutely right to try and find a job with a domicile where you want to live. Just don't expect to upgrade anytime in the near term, which will likely keep you chained to Eagle for quite a while. Or if you do get out just hope you're not furloughed like I was or your options will be quite limited without that 1000+ turbine PIC box checked.

Best of luck to you!

I had a class date that was cancelled when they were hiring last. Is there anyway to note this on airlineapps? Should I email or call someone? Or does it not even matter?

The 'Company Addendum' section at airlineapps has a bit where you can state that you had an interview in the past etc.

Also, I'm sure that a call/email wouldn't hurt.

Good luck.

probably a stupid question...to those that have interviewed, do we need to bring photocopies of our logbooks? In the word doc file it says "bring originals and photocopies of the following" and lists logbooks, after which it states "photocopies not accepted". In one of the old gouges on willflyforfood someone says to "make sure you bring a photocopy of your logbook"

so anyway long story short i'm confuzzled :-P

looks like AA is furloughing close to 200. to save money. isn't that why they furloughed me and brought me back 8 months later?

at this rate i'll be surprised if i make it to class let alone the other 100 folks.

bad times.

No flowbacks to Eagle. But this is an AMR thing. Usually bad times with AMR makes its way around to both companies. Not saying we're gonna furlough though.

They said the furlough at eagle was a cost cutting thing. Which sounds like the reason for the AA furlough. Unfortunately, if AA furloughs people think it is only fair that AE furloughs regardless of the staffing needs etc. etc. so if they want they ll think of some garbage excuse to furlough at AE to help ppl at AA sleep better at night.
