We might have to retire the APC chant of "The days of 500 hour hiring are long gone"
The RJ "orientation" course is $2495 per ATP's web site. $5K if it's the full "certification" week course. But if they're paying, not a big deal unless the contract is not pro rated.

Back in the 60s the majors hired people with PPLs. Who knows what the current boom could lead to.

I guess this also means ATP can stop running their "Buy an RJ Course and get an interview with Eagle!" ads.

I interviewed yesterday and they briefed us AE is looking to hire 675 pilots this year. 7 of us interviewed and 5 were given the conditional offer by the end of the day...I was the last guy to leave and I signed #298 in AE's "successful interview logbook" (or whatever the official name is).

The 500/50 offer sounds 2007-esque, but right now its comes off as scrapping for pilots to get on board at the current pay and commit for two years. Hhmmm...two years...something about two years from now being 2013 and a certain rule going into effect...

That 500/50 will probably hold until early next year IMO. Then, up we go with hours, as right now there really is no other option to pilots with 1500+ in the total time department.

Apparently the 500/50 is not in effect yet. Friend got a rejection email this morning stating that the mins are still 800/100.

Tell him to go update his app as it was probably still being reviewed under the old times. It only changed about noon cst yesterday. It should put it in to get reviewed again.

Anybody know if they're firm on the 50 multi? Think they'd bite on someone with 2.5x the total time they want, but only half the multi?

I'm on active duty for 4 more weeks and was wondering if anyone knows how long does eagle takes to call someone for an interview after they put in the application on airlineapps? This would be my first 121 application so excuse me if I sound blunt.
