The weather has turned DFW into an ice skating rink, and most everything is shut down today. Tomorrow might not be much better. So if you dont hear anything by Thursday then you can send an email.

Hello all,
I interviewed on Monday the 31st.
The interview was not nearly as bad as I had made it out to be. I was way over prepared, which is good. One tip, if the sim guy comes in and asks for any volunteers to go first, be that guy! I was first in the sim and it was SUPER easy. Getting that part out of the way completely relaxed me for the rest of the day, as well.
There were six total in the group, no one got ushered out right away for paperwork. Experience levels were: 3 CFI's, me included, an Ameriflight pilot from Seattle, an Air Force guy that fly’s metros out of TUS, and a guy that fly’s caravans in Atlanta for Pacific Wings. 4 of us go the conditional offer at the end of the day. A CFI from Cali, the Air Force guy, the Amflight girl, and I all made it through.
During the welcome speech in the morning, they said to expect a class within 4-6 weeks. The review board happens the Friday after all of your paperwork arrives. I showed up with my NDR, national driving record, in hand but they could not accept it from me. It has to come addressed to Eagle from Washington. This along with the FAA background stuff is what takes the longest to arrive, apparently.
Everyone there did a great job of creating a welcoming atmosphere and putting us at ease.

Well I don't know about their stay in SJU, cause I've heard that AE are downsizing their fleet in SJU. Couple of friends of mine are being TDY in DFW and MIA.
BTW - Eagle says they are hiring, and I received an e-mail the other day that I didn't qualify for an interview.... I have 6,700 hrs TT and around 4,500 hrs. Turbine......... Whats the trick here????

Since you have already received an email from them this may be little if any help. Mysteries of the universe are easier explained than airline hiring. Do you have an internal recc?

I interviewed on January 24th, 2011 and got a pre-offer of employment.
If you go to any of the websites that provide you with the AE gouges you will do just fine (aviationinterviews.com, willflyforfood.com, etc). Make sure you are IFR current and proficient.
I've been waiting to receive an e-mail to get my medical schedule for the hearing and drug test and then after that comes the captain's review board I think...lots of stages here until you REALLY get hired.
The biggest thing here is to have ALL of your paperwork complete by the time your interview date comes in order to avoid any delay. The other thing is to MAKE SURE you current/previous employer gets the required paperwork they need to fill out ASAP and have them send it back to A.E. ASAP.
Again...I interviewed last Monday (24th) and my current employer has NOT received the paperwork they need to fill out yet...which really blows.
It has been 10 days since my interview and still waiting for my current employer to get the required paperwork and still waiting for the medical evaluation (hearing and drug test).
