American Eagle to hire
#211
I don't know if I'll be any help since its been a couple years since I interviewed there but you never needed your birth certificate as long as you had two forms of Gov ID... This could have changed over the years but I think (granted it is late in my current time zone) that you should be fine.

The 19th in Dallas. I hear what people are saying about AE/121 life and upgrade times, but I'm a CFI. A 2 1/2 year CFI at that. Time to move on. Any CFI's out there know what I mean. I like instructing, but it's time to move on.

They'll have at least 100 apps per slot, so they're be no shortage of pilots looking to advance from the CFI or freight life (not to mention those furloughed or soon to be). It's a move up and not as hazardous as either of the other two professions.
1000 Part 121 turbojet time can get you to the next rung.

Nevertheless, good luck with your interview!

K enough BS. Here's the deal for those who care. 1000/200 new minimums. Pool folks get first dibs at interview slots. I was hired mid April 08 sent to May RJ course. I was given 3 days to choose from to interview (11th, 12th, 13th). I filled the last spot to RE-interview on the 12th.

Mr. Eagle sorry I did not think my comment would cause such great offense. No worries I won't be going there anytime soon. Yes true, you probably wouldn’t want to fly for my current employer neither do I but don't have much of a choice these days. However as I said before if I end up furlough Eagle is not in my plans, prospects there are rather low.( Just my opinion) based on what I have gathered from several former Eagle drivers flying at my current airline. Once again sir only my personal opinion; no need to get personal. Thanks

1. Apply anyways - worse that can happen is automated filter weeds you out with a "thanks but no thanks."
2. Don't apply because there are so many high time PIC turbine furloughed major pilot's that you don't have a ice cubes chance in hell so save your time.
I'm not trying to be the typical cynical APCer but those sort of are the options. Yes there are others. Maybe call them and see what they say, see if it is worth it to apply. I would tend to lean with option 1. If you can keep your hopes down, then when you get the "tbnt" email, it won't be that much of a let down. And if you really want it, the time taken to fill out the application isn't that bad.
But above all - Good luck. If you get it, can I take your CFI gig?
