I have a buddy who called to push back showtime in Memphis and Colgan wouldn't accomodate his request. I'm not sure the reason he gave, but it was a "no".
If you're not keeping anything from AE (background) you should be good to go. Eagle's upgrade time is slow but Colgan's upgrade time has slowed as well. The question is where would you rather be stuck as an FO? I personally would choose AE. 65 will come full swing which will hit American and the domino effect will help out Eagle upgrades.
Also, E145 or Saab 340??? Thats a tough one

Did you include fax numbers for your previous places of employment? That helped speed up the background check process back in the day when I came on. They need to fax forms to your previous employers to fill out and sign. I also called my previous employers to let them know to expect a call/fax from Eagle.

I have 2600TT 110ME ATP/CFI/II/MEI and 3 internal recommendations. I filled out an app back in December and continued to update it.
Same to you! When did you interview? Maybe we will be in the same class? I thought about asking Colgan if I can push the class back at least until mid or late september when I should hear back from Eagle.

keep that class date with colgan, start if possible! When you have eagle in the bag, or whenever they call you for the class date, then leave colgan to start eagle ground school! have options! good luck

Not sure. They told me it will probably be about a month before I hear anything back because of all the background information that needs to be collected.
I have a class date scheduled for Colgan but would rather be at AE so I guess I need to tell Colgan thanks, but no thanks. I just don't want to get screwed later and find out that I didn't make it pas the review board.

So, I guess you were more impressed by Eagle than by Colgan. Now let's see if we at Eagle are impressed by you.

I agree with ya Meeko. CRJ700s comment was from something that was said much earlier on the forum by FlyingPirate that I figured would have been forgotten by now since its not important and was taken the wrong way, but I guess not. People are always looking for a rise out of everyone when they're behind a computer.
anyways, congrats FlyingPirate, thats great you have a couple options. Hope it all works out for ya.

Anyway, Thanks everyone for warm welcome. I'm excited and anxious. I am very fortunate to have options as well as a good stable job at the moment till I wait for something else to pan out. I would really like to be able to make it to an early Oct. class and get online before the Holiday season, but I understand the hard work that HR must go through to get all the background info back.
I'm not so sure that starting training at another carrier while wait for my preferential carrier to take me up is such a good idea though. I can only imagine that it would result in bridges being burned to ashes. I have never been the type to start something and not finish it. Plus, what do I say when I go to interview at the majors in 10 years and they ask that question; "have you ever failed to complete training for any company?" It just doesn't seem fair to Colgan or anyone else for me to start training just to leave after 2 weeks.
