If you're not keeping anything from AE (background) you should be good to go. Eagle's upgrade time is slow but Colgan's upgrade time has slowed as well. The question is where would you rather be stuck as an FO? I personally would choose AE. 65 will come full swing which will hit American and the domino effect will help out Eagle upgrades.
Also, E145 or Saab 340??? Thats a tough one
I'm living in Dallas at the moment so Eagle is the obvious choice as well as other reasons. I won't mind being on reserve in Dallas for a while since I will be living in base.

I did check all fax numbers but I'm sure that some of them will take a while or will not respond at all. I will probably give them a call next week to make sure they know that the information is coming to them and to be sure they send it back.

Same to you! When did you interview? Maybe we will be in the same class? I thought about asking Colgan if I can push the class back at least until mid or late september when I should hear back from Eagle.
August 9th. Hoping for first class in October. Hope to see you there!

keep that class date with colgan, start if possible! When you have eagle in the bag, or whenever they call you for the class date, then leave colgan to start eagle ground school! have options! good luck

So, I guess you were more impressed by Eagle than by Colgan. Now let's see if we at Eagle are impressed by you.

I agree with ya Meeko. CRJ700s comment was from something that was said much earlier on the forum by FlyingPirate that I figured would have been forgotten by now since its not important and was taken the wrong way, but I guess not. People are always looking for a rise out of everyone when they're behind a computer.

anyways, congrats FlyingPirate, thats great you have a couple options. Hope it all works out for ya.

Haha. I didn't think that my earlier comment would have made that big of an impression, but I am amazed on a daily basis.

Anyway, Thanks everyone for warm welcome. I'm excited and anxious. I am very fortunate to have options as well as a good stable job at the moment till I wait for something else to pan out. I would really like to be able to make it to an early Oct. class and get online before the Holiday season, but I understand the hard work that HR must go through to get all the background info back.

I'm not so sure that starting training at another carrier while wait for my preferential carrier to take me up is such a good idea though. I can only imagine that it would result in bridges being burned to ashes. I have never been the type to start something and not finish it. Plus, what do I say when I go to interview at the majors in 10 years and they ask that question; "have you ever failed to complete training for any company?" It just doesn't seem fair to Colgan or anyone else for me to start training just to leave after 2 weeks.

Good for you! That's a rare attitude.

Never burn bridges in aviation... You always want to keep a clean record because you never know what will happen down the road.... Sounds like you're ahead of the game.
