Good question. I have all the credits necessary for an associates degree, but I'm in the Bachelor program so I don't have a degree yet. I wonder if I should have them send me an associates just so I have it while finishing the Bachelors. I applied about a 6 weeks ago and haven't heard anything except an email saying they got it.

Hi all,
It looks as though they are sending out certified letters now, if you don't pass the board, as I just got one. I can honestly tell you I have no idea what they are looking at there in the hiring dept. I have over 6,000 hours, 3 types and absolutely nothing in my background. I don't even have a speeding ticket, let alone any FAA issues.
I was a previous employee years ago, however, I never had any issues there and left on good terms. They said that this would not be an issue. I am also furloughed from NetJets and Spirit, so maybe that played a role, who knows. The interview went as well as it could have gone. I felt extremely good about all three portions.
I am feeling like this will turn out to be a good thing, since I was not real excited about going there anyway, as I was only doing it to maintain currency. You would think that after the Colgan crash, they would want to hire the most experienced people possible.
BTW, I interviewed January 26th, and it took them two and a half months to get me an answer, classy. This reminds me of one of the many reasons that I left years ago. Good luck to those of you applying, it is actually a decent place to go to build some time or get out of flying freight. I interviewed when Claudette was there, she was a great lady and did a great job under difficult situations. Looks like now that she is gone, it's a mess over on Amon Carter Blvd.

I got my rejection letter today. Interviewed on Feb 22. I felt really good about all three of the interviews. No failed checkrides, completely clean record. Pretty bummed about the news. Ive been furloughed since May 09, and I really felt like this was my best shot at getting employed again. I was rejected for a corp TBM-700 job in my hometown last month, and now the eagle rejection. Not sure where to go from here.

Just curious, did you have any internal referrals or letters of recommendation?

I think AE needs to do away with this "conditional job offer" carrot dangling practice. The whole process seems backwards and incredibly offensive to the applicants (myself being one of them). The vast majority of these rejection letters are most likely sent for reasons that can easily be spotted in the exhaustive airlineapps applications and in the interview. The fact that applicants are selected out of a pool with tons of data, offered an interview, and then "offered" a job at the successful completion only to have it rescinded weeks/months later (again...probably for a reason that was apparent from the interviewee selection process) is what is causing so much unrest.
All they need to do to correct this is to either only interview people they'd like to hire, or to stop giving out "conditional job offers" and just clearly explain that the review board is really where the hiring decisions are made. They make it seem like the review board is just a formality, when it's really the most selective part of the process.

And another rejection letter guy
(135/91exp)2800TT, 1200Turbine, 400Jet, 4yr degree, Internal Rec after getting interview. I interviewed first week of February, and just today received the certified rejection letter. I thought the interview went great, clean background, and all that good stuff. I think the new Dream Team that took over HR must be looking for something very specific. Good luck to everyone else applying and waiting for a response hope it works out.
