A new hire I know said he got the call last Friday & got put into a pool because they were no scheduled class dates beyond May. Anyone else hear something similar?

How long is it taking from interview to phone call? How long then to class date?

I received the call that I passed the review board about 3 weeks ago. I called back last Friday to see how things are looking for class dates, and he said that they don’t know how many new hires they are putting in the May classes yet. Once they find out they will assign class dates from the pool based on date of interview. I interviewed Feb 9th and I’m number 20 on the list.

ON the last vacancy bid some CRJ classes were canceled so they have to take care of the guys / girls on property before they can figure out where they are going to assign the new guys to. Also planning in the training department doesn't like to plan that far out as things change on a daily basis... hence some new CRJ's going to NYC for long haul routes (see the AA AE Jetblue thread)

Any idea how many new pilots they've hired so far? I've got an app in, hoping to get an interview.

Buddy of mine got the good news call today, but no specific class date. Told to expect May. His interview was a week before me in mid-Feb. Anyone else hear anything?

you guys/gals might have to wait a bit longer for class dates or call backs. They have no clue where to assign you guys, since the announcement yesterday regarding the 22 crjs will be going to LGA. You may have an idea when the vacancy closes. Get ready to commute to the northeast

I'm a recall going NFE on May 10th. This won't effect me will it?

I believe this will be an open system bid since it is new equipment to the domicile. That means even ERJ people can bid over so my hunch is that this will go very senior, i.e. the top seniority already in NY will just bid to the higher pay/better equipment. If anything, I might expect recalls to all go NY ERJ to backfill the vacancies going to the CRJ.
