I heard when they fly you down for the interview, they sent a spy to sit next to you on the flight. They also hire a PI to follow you around the week prior. jk jk In all seriousness, it's a no brainer to be professional during all phases od the interview, whether in the presence of hr or not.

I interviewed many years ago with a certain carrier headquartered in the southwest that is now embroiled in a terrible merger with an east-coast based carrier and they had a PR person staged in the cafeteria section where pilots were told to wait while waiting for their interviews.
I was quite obvious to me, but not so to several of the other candidates there blabbering about this and that and with their professional guard down, so this practice is not unheard of, although I have not heard of it employed at Eagle.
In my experieice, I was amused to watch the nice young woman sitting in front of a barely touched tray of food away from everyone else, but within earshot of the waiting pilots reading a book................during my 20 minutes there waiting, she never flipped a page. To me anyway, it was totally obvious.

No proof but quite obvious to me, I was there. The girl was telling her story about how she failed out of Colgans training. This is actually normal for flight attendant interviews. When the door closes, everyone lets down their guard. I don't believe HR is stupid, its a great way to see everyone when they think no one is watching. If you read the instructions for the interview, it says, "Don't talk to each other." Looking for personality, not just knowledge.

Congrats to those who made it!
I have the interview coming up this week...quick question?
I just finished all the paper work including the "Morning Paper Work" I just got in my email this past week. The Pilot App Supplement has a space for updating your times which I have done.
With that said, do I still need to update Airline Apps also?
Thanks

I updated my AirlineApps one week prior to my interview and then filled out the pilot supplement to reflect those hours. That being said, when I got to the interview, they had printed out an application that was a few weeks old. So, just be prepared to explain your current hours situation during the Tech and HR portion.

Ahhh yes... Spies sitting next to you on your flight to the interview, spies in the interview class... the AMR paranoia is setting in already. You guys will fit in well here, just watch out for the AMR Blackhawk helicopters that will circle your house when you call in sick

Good luck in a couple days BomberGuy, I'm supposed to interview on Wednesday, but I'm going to have to ask to be rescheduled because I didn't expect getting a copy of my driving record to be a 2+ week process (I didn't know that in Chicagoland you can't just walk into a DMV and walk out with it, you have to do it by mail).
They list it among the list of documents without which "you will not be eligible to interview," so I'm hoping that they'll be willing to reschedule me. I'm a little worried they'll just withdraw the offer to interview instead, but I figure that asking to be rescheduled is at least slightly less damaging to my chances than ignoring the paperwork and showing up in Dallas without it.
