Good luck with that. Chances are they will make money from people thinking they will make money as a mentor. Just be careful before you spend a dime.

Default Not my money

I didn't say that I would pay for the type. I curious what some of you thought about the possibility given the unique situation posed. Paying for training for a JOB is completely out of the question, and there are only 2 types I would currently agree to pay for. The first would be a 737 after I signed my SWA contract. The second would be for a DC-3, which I think is just one of the coolest airplanes to ever fly!!

I wish I had paid for the type on the DC3 way back when it was only $175/hr.! Wet! Sorry for the visit down memory lane here. That was back in 1974 at the flight school I attended in Miami. That plane was so cool! Okay, back to reality.

Default DC-3 Type

There is a place in Griffin Georgia that does the DC-3 PIC course in the plane for about 18,000. They do a SIC course for just under $4000. I'll probably end up with the SIC some day, but not sure if I'll be able to swing the PIC.
