Thanks, and I'll see if I can find anything out for you. I have a few friends over there.

Smile alle-giant info.

ya! confusing initial ground school, reserve F/O in either: IFP, SFB or Lost Wages (LAS), $1/hr. per diem, free-current training, unlimited-no-pay-sick calls, 1 week vacation after 1 yr., possible upgrade within 2 yrs. now (entering in right at the heat of wage battles), thin-spread maintenance, home every night schedules (adding a new city per month--mostly toothless trailer trash towns), great pilots, very-very-very friendly flight attendants , nice equipment mostly from SAS (glass), making mo' money like southwest!

It seems as though they have a good plan, operating out of smaller markets. Is commuting a viable option?

yes, commuting is an option. about 25%? commute. tues. and sat. (some times wed.) are usually no fly days. the typical sched has you working 17, off 13. as for reserve, we have R1 (6am-8pm), R2, R3 and so on...

Maddog skip,
Is the upgrade seniority based (sometimes non union carriers are not)?

Where do you expect the pays to be in 6 mo/ 1 yr/ 2yr? (I know, serious crystal ball question)?

I've got about 8,500 hours (2,500 helicopter) so I'm competitive-but I noticed there app doesn't have a blank for helo time. Do you have many former military and/or helicopter guys?

Are you allowed to fly outside of the company for extra $$? ASA has a strict policy against, it.

Appreciate the info-

Default allegiant's future

we (as a non-u pilot group) are currently in negotiations w owner regarding a 25% pay hike and other goodies. will it happen...probably not; but he has thrown us a small bone b4 and will most likely do it again (we sell soft drinks and water on our flights! el hefe is el cheapo supremo!) great QOL tho. home every night if u live at base. overall, good job if flying is a side job for you and you don't need the full salary or retirement of a larger airline--great for ret. mil. guys! upgrades are slowing down tho. it was about 1.2 yrs. yes, we do have several ex-mil. helo pilots here. we have been in the habit of hiring very low time, VFR, grand canyon drivers, so competitiveness is sometimes out the window. we do have many ex-TWA and other major carrier pilots as well.

upgrade is seniority based provided you have at least 3 recommendations and one checkairman rec. many pass up upgrade to stay in vegas vs. commuting.moving to junior skipper base (SFB). Pay will probably be a few bucs/hr more for the next few yrs. with maybe a slight increase in prdiem. if u clear it w/ scheduling and chief, u can fly on the side. hope that helps!
