I read an article in a recent publication of a flying magazine about this. Sounds really rewarding to train these guys to a high standard. Also, the pay is excellent even if you have some gunfire now and then...

A good bud of mine is currently there and loves the job. He says aside from being away from family for a year it is one of the best jobs he has ever had in the AF. This is coming from a former Eagle Driver. For the contractors the money is very good!

"From what I've heard there wont be any more hiring for awhile. WESTAR has the contract for civilian instructors. You can start by checking them out.

There are other flying opportunities as well. Check out Dynamic Aviation. King Air drivers or turbine experience is required there. 4 months in theater then 3 off. 16-18K per month while deployed. I went through the interview process with them a while back and was impressed, but ended up passing for other reasons."

Tweet46,
Do you know if Dynamic Aviation is "hard and fast" about the 100 hours in type (BE90 or BE200) or do they look at total experience? I have about 54 hours in the T-44 (BE90), but thousands of hours of Turbo-Prop and Jet.
Thanks

uafurlough....sounds like you are a former P-3 guy to me. If that's the case I believe Dynamic would be on you like fur on a weasle.

BTW when did you get your T-44 time. I was an IP there '97-00

Was at VT-31 summer of '95 for E2/C2 intermediate, unfortunately DQ'd at the boat (VT-4) the following May and got out. Was at SkyWest for almost 8 yrs before I made the jump to UA when they started hiring again (summer 07).

Hey UA, If you're interested I'd shoot them a resume. I don't believe the 100 hours in type is a hard number.

Tweet, are you in dynamic?? I have plenty over the 100 min in both aircraft and am currently flying overseas. I've been pretty interested in Dynamic for a long long time. Got some questions and wouldn't mind my resume being walked it if it would help.

Capt Logs...check your PM's. I went through most of the interview process but ended up taking a pass for other opportunities.

I would be curious also on a little more info about Dynamic... I have the B200 type, but am a little short of the 1200 total time that the website mentions. Anyone know what is competitive or what and how long the process is? Thanks for any details.
