absolutely agreed, they do not have it together at all. Friend of mine is on "furlough" with them, but they are just trying to hire other pilots without recalling because, it seems, they do not want to pay the furloughed guys all the money they owe them, which is quite a substantial amount. Terrible situation

So let me get this straight.....their copilots had payment for time deducted from their checks or was it upfront payment.

I knew their had to be more to this company. online they seem to be ideal with their presentation and press coverage.

Wingsair does not make anyone pay to work. I don't know where they got that.

I used to fly out of LZU, where Wings Air was and maybe still based and never heard of any FO's HAVING to pay for flight time. I did hear, however, that some FO's offered to pay for block time and the company HAPPILY accepted.

I was a Captain for Wings a little less than 2 yrs ago and I can tell you that there were at least 2 guys that paid 5000 dollars for 250 hrs. in a Navajo, logging deadhead legs.

can anyone explain why you would need an ATP to fly a Navajo? isn't an ATP only required to carry a certain number of passengers?

Hector,

Are you a Falcon 2000 FO or a Diamond DA-20 Katana or Eclipse FO?

The latter is officially the DV-20

It means they probably need it for their insurance. No an ATP is not required, but there's a lot of jobs that want that rating on your cert. to fly for them.

In the early 1990's one of my employers in Alaska wanted an ATP to fly a 207.
