I don't know anything other than this posting is on the website, they are extremely short on crews, and an arbitrator just gave them a buy 2 get one free sale on FOs.

Hopefully this means they are going to hire soon. It has been posted for almost a year now, but I did notice that they reposted it on the 20th. I don't know if they are just reposting to keep it current, or if they are getting ready to actually hire.
Thanks for the update

I wish I could say come to Alaska. Unfortunately the recent pay cut has really destroyed moral. There is no "Alaska Spirit" anymore. This is just a place for an OK job. If you can get on where you are valued and well compensated, do so. I can no longer recommend Alaska.
Our new contract is amendable in 2007. Given the time it take to negotiate a new one, I don't expect to see a raise for 4-5 years. I will need a 45% raise to get back to my pay prior to May 1. I don't think that is going to happen. I see a strike or CHAOS in our future. You don't want any part of that.
STAY AWAY!

I agree with Mike734. This is no place to come. Id head for FedEx, JetBlue or SW. Somewhere with a future. Our management is terrible and are destroying this place one work group at a time.
Our chief pilot and dir of training have been telling recurrent classes that no hiring is planned for the year even though we lose about 30 guys this year and lost about 25 last year with no real hiring. I think we've hired about 20 total in the last 3 years.
Our first year FOs now qualify for food stamps if they are married with 2 kids.
