Default Sky King Inc.

Has anyone heard anything about Sky King? How much they pay, how quickly they upgrade, etc? If there are any Sky King pilots out there I would love to talk to you in more detail. Thanks

No... it’s not about Sky King, (Out of the Blue!!!!) played by Kirby Grant, nor about "Song Bird" his beloved airplane.

A bit of trivia... Sky King's original airplane was a Cessna T-50 AKA the Bamboo Bomber before he upgraded to his Cessna 310B.

Sky King, the airline which is into the blue, is a B-737 sports charter company based in Ca.

Sadly Kirby Grant was killed in a car crash several years ago. However I think I remember reading somewhere that his show, SKY KING and the Songbird were responsible for more kids of that generation for getting into aviation than anyone thing or anybody.

I know I sure was one of them.........

They currently have 7 B737-200's flying a lot of sports and casino charters. Callsign 'Songbird' (SGB). flyskyking.net

FO pay min $3500 for 15 days. Extra days pay extra. Per diem 1.25/hr Captain pay min $5700 (15 days). Home based, should be able to upgrade within 2 years. With flying a lot of extra days pay goes up substantially.

I remember working a Skyking bird, can't remember if it was in our storage yard or on the line. I worked a mx shop in LAS then.
