Default UPS seeking management pilots

UPS is "aggressively" seeking Flight Qualified Management, aka management pilots.

Job includes flight standards, sim training, and check airman duties. Must be willing to relocate to Louisville.

Apply here (it's a separate application from the normal Flight Officer application. Apply to only one.)

Minimums:
ATP or ATPw
4000 TT
1000 PIC Part 121 airline ops or other turbojet/turboprop operations
FAA 1st class medical

i presume you don't get a seniority number and that you are an "at will" employee...

My friend is a relatively new management pilot at UPS. Hey says great pay and retirement but you do work hard for your paycheck. He said he likes knowing his paycheck is not in jeopardy, and he's taking a liking to Louisville.

Louisville is a really cool town. There are some great jazz clubs there and downtown night life. Nice Middle America place to be. Especially if you like horse racing :-D

Is it not obvious why they are hiring management pilots? Managers at UPS are a breed of their own. They do not sit on the IPA union seniority list.

Yeah its obvious. And in this market I am sorry to say that they probably will be able to get guys to do it. The NWA mechanics strike is evidence of how much power airline management has today.Unionized labor is in retreat. Sad but true.
