give a little take a little. Think the local people want some assurances too considering many have supported this merger. Giving up some market share in west coast in Hawaii and committing to maintaining service interisland is basic and forgotten in 10 years time.

I will just say this. FOLLOW THE MONEY. The big four are looking at the Hawaii airports and salivating over more gate space. UA and SWA probably have more lobbiests working on this at the D.O.J. than we have 717 captains.

Gate space is one of the reasons SWA continues to run the interisland flights that lose money.
If they cut the departures too much, they lose gate space during prime time.

The fact that they keep adding small extensions tells me they're close. Likely just hashing out details. If they were going to block it they would just do so.

Yeah. If there was still hashing out substance it would require longer extensions. The smaller ones suggest clerical or legal fine tuning. My thoughts…
