Aug 15 seems like it just a deadline for an answer, and the answer could be a YES, NO, or a MAYBE, as in YES with CONDITIONS.
A YES with CONDITIONS might mean the DOJ having to file papers as a formality, which would provide some teeth from a legal perspective to whatever their demands might be?
Purely speculation on my part but I guess we'll find out the truth here in a little over 48 hours.

It could be. I think if they extend the deadline, then I’d be leaning to a with Conditions verdict too, if that comes out tomorrow. I think the fact it is in Hawaii is positive, even in a block scenario. Wouldn’t they file in Washington to simply block it, unless they cite exclusively local harm? Alaska is the one they’d be going to war with.
