Possibly correct, can’t confirm as I never tracked it. They either performed or got recalled/voted out. However, is any other major airline MEC Chairman not full time? Hint, they are.
-No previous MEC Chair worked remotely from home.
Incorrect, it’s happened before at HAL. Gasp, even before COVID!
-No previous Negotiating Chair ever received a guarantee of 90 hours a month (4 years now).
Incorrect. Timeline is longer than the past, but again, is any other major airline NC chairman not full time? Hint, they are.
-No previous Committee member ever received ALPA pay to avoid VEBA and sick leave.
Incorrect. It’s been done before at HAL, to include the last MEC chair (your hero HL), who granted full time alpa leave to place a committee member on different committees to “find” work for him while dealing with health issues far more significant than a surfing injury. Gasp, I heard the current DAL MEC chairman doesn’t even have a medical!
-No previous Safety Chair received 5-6 days of ALPA pay monthly.
Incorrect.
Alpa is literally set up for YOU to make the change you want. Either get involved and make changes, or show up and pass resolutions to force policy changes. Nothing you have stated as “fact” is actually fact, nor does it violate any policy’s or rules. If you don’t like the current rules or player’s, then there is a defined process for change. Posting on APC literally doesn’t change anything and like 1% of HAL pilots come here. IMUA!
I hope you find happiness at UAL.
Another day of rainbows and waterfalls in Hawaii-nei!

Blurred lines and conflicts of interest are the threat. When an MEC member is more interested in being invited over to the CEO's cookout than representing the pilots in hard-fought contract negotiations, then that is a failure of that individual.
But if this merger goes through, all of that brown-nosing will be for nothing.

I thought for a minute you were a disgruntled former MEC member but it’s becoming quite clear that you really are new and have no idea what you are talking about.
If you are referring to the recent changes to section 8, then you don’t know the history and understand what the language changes mean.

It’s unfortunate that you came to HAL, when literally any other airline would have provided a shorter commute and better QOL. It’s also unfortunate that you haven’t been here long enough to even know the “facts”.

Lets get the easy stuff done first. Pilot only parking at the ATC lot. Company doesn't even honor that part of the contract.
I should have kept a running total of parking emails over the last 2 decades. It has to be in the hundreds. We have to be able to find a gravel and dirt lot somewhere. It's Hawaii, lots of gravel and dirt.

Someone in the Delta forum just posted:
“Kind of like the MEC chairman who was out on LTD when he got elected and hasn't turned a wheel in years?”
I have no idea what the Delta “facts” are, merely pointing out it sounds like Delta also has a policy manual that allows for volunteer work (to include election) without a medical. Glad to hear their MEC chair was able to get their medical back, if the above was true.

You apparently are on the MEC or NC so show us the facts, you have alot of hot air but have nothing. Maybe you are the NC member on the "promo video" you sure sound like it.

-It's Correct 100% homework completed!
-No previous MEC Chair worked remotely from home.
Incorrect, it’s happened before at HAL. Gasp, even before COVID!
-The previous Chair was in the office a minimum of two weeks a month. Current Chair, once every 90 days probably for Pub Night. Everyone knows he's not here, why do you think the company loves him so much.
-No previous Negotiating Chair ever received a guarantee of 90 hours a month (4 years now).
Incorrect. Timeline is longer than the past, but again, is any other major airline NC chairman not full time? Hint, they are.
-NO Previous NC Chair has been on 90 hrs a month. Prove it you seem to be in the MEC. We are talking only about HA, the MEC and NC love to talk about the other airlines yet they never get us what they have.
-No previous Committee member ever received ALPA pay to avoid VEBA and sick leave.

-False statement Again, our NC member was out for two years avoiding VEBA and using sick leave, not to mention he was also receiving company pay for pilot interviews while he was negotiating. Wait for a negotiator to be paid extra pay by the company while injured during negotiations, I'm sure the company didn't own him!
-No previous Safety Chair received 5-6 days of ALPA pay monthly.
Incorrect.
-Let's ask the former Safety Chair how many ALPA days he took in the past. Maybe 1 day, not 5-6 on weekends and Holidays.

-At least when I'm in the cockpit nobody is talking about what a terrible job I'm doing and how I have No Integrity. My peers respect me, as for you Mr. MEC/NC you probably avoid the lounge and flying like the rest of them. Nothing like being on a long SYD flight and the only topic is what a piece of S%&* our MEC/NC teams are.
