Yeah, I was looking forward to the 500+ hr vacation sell back check at whatever rate we'd have in a decade. I never used vacation, just group days off, or bid reserve.

I'd have to look at one of the 17 different management trees we have. I agree the Canuck has to go. But I figure he has to wait for his parachute results first, and whatever else is stipulated to get said parachute.
I've been through this a few times, it's coming, expect more emails. This, so far, is pretty tame compared to some of the office/manager shenanigans I've witnessed when sh!t is hiting the fan.

I hate to say it, but they all have to go. Training is more screwed up then it's ever been. I can't even imagine the money theyre spending. Everyone has a stupid training story, that ended up costing the company copious ammounts of money. And now, they're spending who knows how much to switch to OEM, which Alaska will change once the merger goes through.

I haven’t been taking notes, but some common ones include the implementation schedule, PPU removal, B scale 330F, section 22 especially when properly put toe to toe with other Majors’ appropriate section. There’s obviously more as individuals all have their personal gripes, but I’ve heard gripes over these several times in the last few months.
I get that this contract is in some ways better than what it was before, but to (wrongfully) assume the everyone’s as happy as you are does us a great disservice for future improvements. It’s not just 5 people or whatever you said earlier. Educate yourself, it’s not difficult to get a hold of other airline’s contracts.

It's not sustainable to have Widebody FOs making more than the CAs they fly with though it is nice while it lasts. As long as the company survives.
The B scale was a kick in the nuts but is an improvement to the carriers that previously did this flying, and under Part 117. And the company HAS to start making money. Can we all agree they cant lose money indefinetly. This flying also represents major growth to the pilot group, expanding your options of what a career at HA looks like, hard to put a dollar amount on that.
I know many instructors were upset about the loss of pay and increased flexibility. But as the comments have said the company has had a terrible time running this department and if we can streamline this maybe one day we can turn a profit and get a profit sharing check again? And get improvements later possibly through one of those dreaded LOAs.
But the company has to be around 'later'.
Lets start paddling the canoe together and get to the other side with our careers intact and live to fight another day.
