I am always onboard the train of thought that generally heads to "worry about what we can change ahead." I hope we get something great with JCBA with Alaska this time . That we what we can change for us!

However, we must also look at the track behind us and think about what happened. I am new to the company, but I have met with a fair number of grumpy individuals who genuinely believe that our contract could have been a lot better and we were too 'hasty.' I don't think we should overturn graves and start blaming this and that - BUT we should also not just ignore complaints from the less happy people at our company.
In my experience it was a lot of senior local guys enamoured with the pay rates that pushed it through. Alot of mid level guys in their 40s thought we could do better and then the issue of around 10-20% of the pilot group unable to vote due to being on probation. Hopefully the JCBA has improvements in it.

I thought Alaska's pay rates were pegged to the average of AA/UA/DL/B6/NK's pay rate for the equipment/seniority/seat. Is that not the case?

They might be- that southwest document comparing all contracts was done by SWAPA.

Can someone from AS clarify?

Present vs End of contract. Snaps ups on an average basis. It is a little muddy. I know there’s a mix of food from ours and Alaskas we can build upon and is a good place to be if this thing ever gets approved, which I think it will…..eventually.

Average of AA/UA/DL/B6/WN top of scale captain rate on 9/1/24. The slope is then applied backwards to populate the other seniority/seat rates.

Recall the Good Ole Boys, in Unity...
So I gotta ask brother... Is this forum the only place this recall movement is taking shape? Because I sure haven't heard a word about it on the line.... and the character of "fostro" is not selling the agenda well to anyone who isn't already on board with it. Create a new character that is more in line with your actual seniority etc, come back on here, and present the argument without the ad-hominem parts, and maybe someone will listen who otherwise would not have.

I may not agree with your point of view but I respect your right to have it. You are not doing your side any favors by presenting it in the current manner.

That will put TOS CA at $360, same as big 3, few bucks less than DL, few bucks more than B6. So average, not industry low.

That's for all flavors of guppy, some other airlines might get paid more for the stretch versions?

If nothing changes, per our current CBA "Average Rate" language, using the 5 applicable airlines (UAL SW DAL JB AA) ASA will bump up to $360/hr TOS on 9/1/24.

Not sure why that graphic skips two years to jump to 2026 and does not show '24 or '25 but you are correct. If nothing changes we will be lagging the industry by a fair margin in 2026. Our average pay language only goes through 9/1/24. After that it is expected we are to be negotiating a new CBA, now potentially a JCBA. With this in mind, I'm not too concerned about falling behind in 2026. We've set the precedent and management has acknowledged that we are to be paid in line with our peers at the above mentioned airlines. Let's work on getting all that other important stuff that makes an airline a place to hang a hat.

JCBA is probably good for AS pilots, company has incentive to get er dun, as opposed to dragging out indefinitely.
