Sometime last year the 321 program in Miami was shut down by the FAA for inadequate training. Our pilot managers, with no experience, proved they had no experience by operating programs that didn't meet the required FAA requirements. When the 321 program was shut down in Miami it was all kept very quiet like every other debacle in that department (AS do not allow these rookies in your department, they have zero experience).
I did hear that the Miami training was a great party scene with instructors and check pilots partying around the clock, so that's one positive. lol

Yet somehow freight guys make $15/hr less on the "B" scale because the Company deemed it necessary to turn a profit.
It all makes sense. HA is a West Coast based Company, common sense is never needed. Just good feelings

Same MEC that sent a response to the JAL accident in HND, saying "Be extra careful!" That'll keep us safe lol. Someone please recall these idiots.

I have been hearing "RECALL" since the 65% ratification vote, on my old property the RECALL would've happened the next day. HA Pilots need to wake up fast before this MEC hands us a bag full of "Malama".

I understand he needs to justify his 60 hours of ALPA pay every month, on weekends, while doing nothing. Another pro-company union guy trying to land a position upstairs, again thank goodness they will all be gone soon. AS don't allow these crooks into your establishment, they are professional con artist.
I'm frustrated with a lot of stuff going on here right now too. ALPA needs to do better on a lot of things. But when you've got guys who have been on property for less than 4 years crying about the Union guys not caring about their feelings enough and because of it screaming for recall... it's kind of funny.
I just checked because I was curious and his schedule isn't hidden. The safety chair has been on 36 hours of ALPA pay the past few months... with one or two weekend days. That's 5 or 6 days of work every month. Seems pretty normal to me for the head of safety... especially when you've got as many pilots screwing up as we do right now.

HAL Safety Chair puts out a memo to make sure we complete a "Threat Based Briefing". Too bad the JAL crew didn't complete a "Threat Based Briefing" because I'm sure it would include a possible Coast Guard DHC-8 on the runway. Long time lurker who finally got around to registering an account on account (ha) of all the stupidity being posted these days. Might as well join in the fun right?

Please tell me all the work our Safety Chair is doing. Haven't seen any safety comms on turbulence, airport ground ops, multiple MELs, inadequate weather radars, PPT/PPG augmented crews, SYD curfew tailwind takeoffs. Senior friend, do you think he's worth 36 hours a month? if you do, you are probably ok with our MEC Chair and our lead negotiator getting 90 hours a month since 2019. My guess is you are probably part of the con artist group making tons of money off of our ALPA budget. Enjoy it while it lasts and I hope you are in the top tier because when this is all over only the top tier will be ok.
