Can we orchestrate a combined Facebook group? This silo B.S. is super bad in a world of unknowns. Although it could create a food fight too.

I predict this will eventually happen but realistically it's unlikely to fly with either pilot group right now until we get to where the merger is approved and the wheels are fully in motion.. Right now, understandibly so, pilots might feel a bit territorial and the shock hasn't quite settled in.

I guess I should have asked first. I assumed you were on the 330 since you were referencing the WB. If you're on the 321, yes, there's a good chance that gets swapped for a MAX. I don't agree with it and am in no way advocating for it, but the MAX seems to be AS managements favorite toy. When I said same airplane, same seat, I had it in my head that you were a 330 pilot worried about losing your WB status. I don't think any HA pilot will have to worry about losing a current or expected WB seat. Wasn't transitioning from the 330 to the 787 already the plan for HA? I thought the only reason it hadn't started yet was because of the Boeing delivery delays. So you as a 330 pilot were already planning on transitioning to the 787, no? I believe nothing changes for you there. If you're a 321 pilot, yes, you can expect some changes. My hope is that the Amazon stuff pays out and they are able to move those 330's over to the cargo side. I don't want to see a single airfare leave.
As far as anyone giving away interisland flying, it won't be due to the AS pilots. Our ranks are filled with pilots burned by bad scope language and we won't be relaxing that. You're 100% right when you say we need to expand on it as well. That's the silver lining in all this. We get a second bite at the apple to improve everything for everyone.

the HA MEC contacted admin at Voggers (The Facebook group) and the original poster who reported it as first hand information and they took it down.. we're all grown ups here, and if the news was news, then fine, but made up stories and misinformation desigend to divide the groups gets routed fast on that site.
