Don’t be so sure the 330’s are going away. It sounds like HA and AK are working on plans to refresh the 330 interior to match the 787. They wouldn’t spend the money on aircraft that are going away any time soon.
The 787’s will mostly be diverted to Alaska after the merger is approved. It sounds like Alaska is outsourcing 18-20 787’s worth of pax everyday to other carriers via One World.

Hey! So, a friend of mine got his CJO last October, and they called him for the April 2 class. He said two guys in his class were from November. I got my CJO on January 26, and they told me to expect a class date in July, August, or September. But, I received an email a few weeks ago saying it might be subject to change and could be longer than initially expected.

You should take a ride on a Delta 767-400.

AK can use them for HI flights, whatever trans-Pacific routes , and also West Coast to East Coast flights. I believe AK does transcons to NYC, TPA and probably a few other routes that could use a WB. HA just doesn't have the type of network to be a 44 WB airline. Unfortunately, while the many pilots thought a mainland network made sense to hedge against downturns, management just didn't see it that way.

I agree. Alaska will definitely have more use for them than HA would have. HA just doesn't have the destinations to justify an extensive WB fleet in greater numbers.
