Hawaiian Hiring FOs

Maybe someone can shed some light on the sinior system at Hawiian. It's not like it is easy to get a hold of someone in HR these days for some puzzling reason if one even exist. Doesn't the title of a position say anything anymore? hmmm. Seems like one must fill out an online application and wait for a call from HR. They get in touch with you. You don't get to get in touch with them to ask questions about human resources. I assume this is now common practice. It's rude but just my opinion and I hope I haven't offended anyone by saying that.
You senior guys/gals at Hawiian want the shorter than regional leg flights who offer to pay for ATP/CTP classes which I happen to be completly confused by? Don't you fly less a month and make more money on longer trips?

Yes you apply and wait for them to call you
You don’t have an ATP so you do not meet the minimums to apply so you application will not be accepted until after you have a ATP
If you have questions you can probably email the recruiting email or get in contact with a pilot recruiter.
It sounds like you would benefit greatly from a job fair or recruiting event. Next big one is NGPA in Palm Springs in February. It costs money but look at it like an investment. All airlines will be there and plenty of people to answer your questions that will probably be nicer than the crowd on this forum

Second, seniority, spelled this way, is a way of determining preference in a large group hired over a long period of time. Hawaiian Airlines has approximately 1180 pilots.
If you were hired next month in a class of 10, your seniority will be determined in that group of 10 and placed at the end of the current seniority list for the entire Hawaiian Airlines pilot group.
This is how you select aircraft, base and seat. You get to occupy any of these categories based on your overall seniority. This is the norm at all US airlines with or without unions.
Next, the ATP issue, go hire an Flight instructor on Oahu, assuming you live on Hawaii island, and prepare for the ATP flight check. Also assuming you have all the requirements for an ATP. Then study for the ATP written exam. Take the written exam with that flight school and arrange for an examiner to give you a ATP checkride.
After all that, apply to Hawaiian Airlines or which airline you are targeting.
Then you can move on past this thread which has become one of the most bizarre.
The term " big show" is like saying the big league like getting to the Major leagues or with airlines, the "majors".
Hawaiian Airlines is the big league. Hawaiian Airlines is one of 5 of the remaining legacy airlines.
Good luck.

Ok dude, First, your spellling is atrocious. I think it would help some us readers if you would use the correct spelling function as you type. Like "Hawaiian".

Thanks. I don't know what you mean by seat.
It seems you are unaware of the ATP changes. It's not that simple as you are explaining above anymore. I can surely explain this to you but I don't believe having the knowlege of what now is ATP/CTP would be any benefit to you.

Not to offend you but, this is like talking to my dad who is almost 70.

I went to a job fair here in Kona for Southwest when they began inner island flights. I went with my pilot resume in my hand all dressed up and looking sharp. A one minute conversation with the personnel said, "this is for ramp agents and things like that. You have to go online to apply there for pilot positions". HA!
I do agree, the 121 world is bazarre. What makes it this way? The money they offer to pay pilots? The big glowing jets? The corporate involvement? Risk in safety? Hierarchy?
Oh, I thought "the big show" was initially refered to as the missing a hiring frenzy then I believe someone here used it in reference to the "majors" which I assumed it means the top of the hierarchy where pilots are paid more for less flying than the regional airlines but longer legs and over nights.
Where can I find any of this in layman's terms?
More Bazarre trying to understand flying Amazon. How is Amazon part of the 121 world? Should this be in this thread? Isn't 121 just for passengers (human beings)? Cargo is in 121??? Geeez, I need a flight review.

Recruiting email? Pilot recruiter? No, I have no idea what the 121 world is about. Dead serious. Never appealed to me in my early days. I have 600 hours of SES now and the reason I started flying. Things don't always go as we plan in life. I'm not almost 70 but yeah I can understand the reference.

I would like to fly the inner island flights which is like flying for a reginal airline. I don't hold an ATP. I am not willing to move to the mainland to obtain an ATP through a regional airline here; I would like to stay put on the island of Hawaii (Big Island). Is there any way Hawiian or Southwest can answer some HR questions of my concern like... Is there any other alternitave method besides moving to the mainland to fly for a regional there while getting ATP through them? If I pay for ATP/CTP class what are the chances of guarantee I will be hired by Hawiian or SW for their inner island flights if I foot the cost of training with 0 jet time or the basic sim training from the ATP/CTP class? For what it is worth I am over 5,000 TT and over 1,500 of multi. I haven't logged time in years.
I hear Hawiian don't have an HR department and SW HR department is basicly fill out an application and wait for a call but why would they even call when they see or can't complete the application because I don't hold an ATP?
