You seem to be pretty far disconnected from the industry and largly unwilling to do anything that would make yourself competitve which is why you aren't getting any phone calls. Just because you have 5000 hour does mean you should be able to walk into the front door of any airline and have them begging for your experience. Have you ever been through a 121 training program? Just FYI, It's the people not willing to learn something that tend to struggle the most.
inter-island flying is not regional flying. If it was regionals would be doing it.

5000 hours with 1400 multi will get you a 135 gig. Take it. Enjoy it.

If you want to fly inter-island for Hawaiian go pay for an atp ctp course and apply to Hawaiian. Maybe the Alaska purchase will get you enough time to enjoy it for a bit. But you are a bit late to the show. Inter island exclusively will be aloha cargo and moukele in a few years. You can apply there with your current certs

Troling? So, am I offending any one here with my thoughts? Yes, you did do plenty far 2 plus hour flights at regionals. I believe you and you are not a troll or offending me for saying this at all. However, this supports ecactly the message I am trying to get accross. The inner flights are much shorter. Maybe from Kona to Likue is 1.5 hours at the most in a 737 or something like it. I have given my information to the Mokulale liner several times. Why no call back is something they never say. No, I haven't been through a 121 training program have I give a reason at all that I have been though one? I never said I want to walk in the front door of any airline and have them beg me to "HELP" them. I also didn't say I am not willing to learn something. I don't understand how I am being called the "toll" in here. Philosophically speaking, why should we feel like we are competing with each other to help people get from one place to another? Is this offensive to anyone because it is too down to earth? Please, no more troll remarks. I have said nothing offensive in my nature of posting. I'm not here to argue or offend anyone.

I don't appreciate any imaginative remarks about my aviation career also. I dream just like all of you. Maybe the dream isn't in a sense of desperation or competion. I'm not competting with any of you. I am laid back. down to earth. and prefer to be in the skies with you and not against you ever. If you feel to believe a person wants something more than another by doing wrong to another I am the very opposite of you. I don't believe we should lie and step on regional airlines for an ATP just to fly for someone else 2 months later or any chance to fly for another company later. I want to be in a place of confort just like the rest of you. I do believe pilots (us/justice) have more power than we give ourselves credit for.

Thank you for the insight. I'll look into Aloha Cargo. I can't see coming out of pocket 5K plus hotel for a maybe possible hire.

Inner island may not be the "big show," but I did make North of $350k last year so it works for me.

Is that pay flying inner island? Where do I sign up to help and not compete? It doesn't matter if it is boxes or people but I do know how to get along with others very well in the stranger industry.

What is "the big show"? The hire frenzy? The so called "major" liners? The competion (sad) among ourselves?

Have you started to update your logbooks? I know in your post history you have issues with logging hours past 1500, but logbook reviews are still conducted in the interview.

I didn't hit Hawiian was seperate at all. It's what we want. Why there is not a way to get in the door at Hawiian on the flights which are much shorter than what the mainland regionals offer especially when the FO first year pay is one of the lowest? What do you want...to fly few long trips, to fly many short trips? How do we all get what we want? Do we want to be the same pilot flying shorter legs than the mainland regionals or do we want the long hauls? Shucks, we chose not to have that option? A pilot is a pilot that is all that matters? Hawiian has shorter legs than the mainland regionals and doesn't have an ATP/CTP offer for the pilots who actually live here? I've lived here for 7 years with 1 summer break (2 months) total out of the 7 years here. 121 world? why not give it a shot?

Once again, I am not here trolling. I am not here trying to offend anyone. I am provoking thought for the benifit of all of us possibly. This is my aim.

The competion is in conducting safe flight and hands on landings is also competion with myself. It's like a game of pool; most pool players believe pool is competion against the opponent when the competion is really competion within self. Have I not made it clear I'm not here to compete with my fellow pilots. It is rude. I have no problem handing over my logs. I have employment history which holds more value than a log book which can easily be pencil whips.

Thank you for being so considerate. I hope your interview(s) go well.

Is it fair to assume that you have not worked as part of a union in the US avaition industry? Your ask is so far from common practice that I can't really come to any other conclusion.

Senior people get what they want, junior people get what's left. Have you looked into how senior or junior inter-isalnd flying tends to go? Basically, your option as the FNG is whatever the company tells you to do...which is whatever the senior folks don't want.

The other guys have given you some good options for Hawaii flying. You ought to take a look at Aloha cargo - AAC - 737 First Officer HNL Aloha Opportunities (ultipro.com) They seem to do the sort of flying you'd like to do. Routes and Locations – Aloha Air Cargo

I believe you, no offense taken.

IMHO, you are showing that you are quite unfamiliar with the part of the industry you're looking into. I'm not at Hawaiian, so maybe I don't get it. But as an outsider to the airline (but not the industry) I think you really ought to do some research into both the seniority system and how that tends to work at Hawaiian specifically.
