Curious, do you mind posting when you interviewed and what was your availability?

I interviewed in January and bypassed a few pax class offerings.

Default Equipment lock

When assigned a fleet in class how long is the initial equipment lock? Are there quicker ways to get out of it?

The equipment/ Training lock is 24 months. The simple answer is no.

Default Advanced testing (CJO/COE)

Any insight on the two part advance testing for conditional new hires? What are the two different parts? Any prep available, either paid or free? Thanks!

I’m guessing you’re talking about the psych eval tests, in which case over thinking them probably does more harm than good. If you’re really worried, maybe find a company that does prep for these types of things (or the United Hogan), I’m sure there’s prep for anything if you’re willing to pay.

I've found, in 2023, dressing as the opposite sex is very beneficial for most western US based companies.

How does Hawaiian go about conferences? I'm an FO at a regional that just barely passed the triple digit SIC/turbine mark so my expectations aren't super high, but was thinking of making the trek down to FL to attend Latino Pilots. Hawaiian sounds like a great place and I just submitted my app. Does Hawaiian usually treat these events as more of a "meet and get your name out there" thing or an on-the-spot interview/CJO? Just trying to find some more information. Thanks for your time!

Unless you are super close to meeting the minimum TT for FO position, I would not bother going to conferences just to get on with Hawaiian until then. It won’t hurt your chances, but spending hundreds to attend a conference when you don’t meet the minimums just yet won’t help much short term. But in today’s hiring climate, you never know.

Additionally, you will not get an “on-the-spot” interview/CJO, but rather will have to fly out to HNL to interview at their HQ. Positive space and hotel is provided by Hawaiian for the duration of your stay to conduct said interview.

if he has an ATP then he meets the minimum. He should apply before he goes to the conference. I bet it would get him an interview invite.
