Could also be waiting on a contract to be signed to formally announce, the numbers don’t add up for just “proper staffing” of the airline. I also received an e-mail from APC advertising first officer positions at HAL which is new for recruiting…shows they’re not backing down.
I can also confirm that the have been telling interviewees and new recruits that a ONT/LAX base is on the table.

Do the numbers add up to proper staffing when the 787 training bubble is factored in? Do we know how big that training bubble is planned to be? And now that travel restrictions are easing, the likely (gradual) return to 6-7 flights a day to and from Japan once the exchange rate cools off a bit?

Who is under an NDA? Is that first-hand info from someone under one who would be willing to personally verify its accuracy, or third-hand from “heard from a guy that x said he was under an NDA”?
