Regardless, we're bringing back our "LOAs", so there's probably going to be a pause in hiring while we get OUR PILOTS trained.

and training is already getting firehosed with new hires and upgrades, now with LOa peeps coming back it’s going to be even more of a goat show

I don’t think many get hired from 135 if any. Usually all prior 121 time or military. I’d say your more likely to be considered with actual flight time and an atp, never say never but having experience only helps. Could always apply but that’s what they are looking for.

30-40 too many.
Koapaka did everything BUT follow the science. Unless the likes of Starbucks, Google, multiple investment banks, multiple silicon valley companies were all wrong in January when they ended their mandates when even they were late to the show with vaccinated spreaders data. But what are the chances our 61 airline, living in a bubble, leadership were smarter than the rest??
On another note, Delta is about to announce profits exceeding pre-pandemic records. How's Hawaiian doing? We're just gonna rely on the pretty smile of a dude wearing flowers in their hair to return to profitability.

The 135 /91 hires are typically high time corporate guys.
They did accidentally hire a guy without an ATP a few months ago, found out during training when he applied for the ATP with the type.
****ed off a lot of people since they all assumed he had the ATP. Probably will not happen again any time soon. Besides Aloha and military, most new hires are from Skywest recently.
