Obviously I hope it's true but I doubt it's gonna happen. I read a comment the other day that made a pretty good point.

Oahu is slated to be closed until Sept. 24th... It is pretty doubtful (based on the ineptitude of Ige, Caldwell and the rest) that they will open Trans-Pacific travel so soon after.

L.G. Green has a goal of being Governor in two years. His opponent will be Caldwell. It has been painfully obvious for months that his focus is on positioning himself. He has Monday morning QB'ed Caldwell at every turn. The latest being the current restriction on beaches and trails. (yet a week ago Green was calling for extending the lockdown, but when he saw the citizen pushback he was immediately in front of a camera saying Caldwell overreached)

Right now the Senate is working on allowing Inter-Island travel without a quarantine. ( Most forget we still have to open that too) The plan is to use a 72hr pre-test for inter island travel as a soft opening of the Trans Pacific testing program. (hell they only have had 6-7 months to figure it out) Then we have schools slated to open in early Oct.

My best guess is a very slow business reopening on Sept. 24th and finally mostly open by ... wait for it... November 1st..

Interisland 72 hr testing program starting Oct 1st. (yay, Hawaii's own citizens can travel like Americans again, with papers!!)

School opens 2nd week of Oct.

November 1st, quick 15 minute testing and PCR testing will be allowed to avoid quarantine.

ELECTION NOV. 3rd

November 4th or shortly after, States start ending Emergency Proclomations

D.C and Oregon are scheduled to be restricted until........ you guessed it... November 4th. ( Oregon Governor extended her Emergency Proclamation until the exact date of 11/4).... Cannot make this stuff up.

It’s lost on me why a democratic state needs to inflict so much harm on itself to make sure it’s citizens vote blue in November (Casting it’s measly few electoral votes) in the national election.

Personally, the only thing I see changing the Democrat behavior and return to the middle is a resounding defeat in November and the complete and utter rejection of socialism and their “woke culture.”

America historically and presently is the most Right wing democracy on our planet. It’s who we are. The Democrats are are right of center and the GOP at present are farther right. That may have been the case in the 90’s and even early 2000’s. Not anymore.

People like Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris would have been laughed out of office. AOC would have stayed a bartender. I won’t even go into the California whackadoodle laws and regulations.

Reform is neither liberal or conservative. The medical system needs reform. The welfare system that so many complain about or abuse needs reform. Immigration needs reform. The longer things don't see reform, the more vulnerable we Become to the allure of the Trumps or AOCs out there. We are becoming Ever more desperate to fix these age old problems. The solutions aren’t in the past. Our fixation on the past has pickled our ability to consider real progress over futile draconian methods justified by “red scare” distractions.
