No, he really wasn't. You are.
Each WingMate tag is embedded with a NFC (Near Field Communication) chip that when read acts as the "key" to our cloud database. The information that you enter into your WingMate profile is securely stored in our cloud database
That you want to get paid $10 per card for said delusion is very entertaining indeed. That all said, I'm sure idiots everywhere will make you a small fortune though, so you've got that going for you.

Better to make it as easy as possible for whomever/whoever barely literate doofus is in charge of contacting you.
(I checked grammarly.com and still don't understand so count me in with the barely literate).

We geezers could use the microchip version when lost and confused. A quick electronic scan reveals our name and where we're supposed to be.

Do you jump and cower in fright from your own shadow too?
Google, the NSA, competent hackers, et al. say thanks for the laugh. Your tag reminds of the TSA and the delusion of "security".

Instead of using a forum post to peddle and plug your novelties, subjecting your product to the ridicule it deserves and negative advertising, why don't you just buy an ad?

Listen, if you don't like it that's fine, don't buy it. Seriously? Did I write on this post saying you must buy them and then send you a PM with a direct link to put in your credit card number? No. I'm just putting the information out there about them for those that do like it, as I do. It's innovative and and a good use of technology. I'm not here bashing on you for having the same plastic tag that you probably have had on your bag for the last 20 years. If that works for you, great. This works for me because it's a great use of new technologies out there, and adding a level of security and assurance that I may get my items back if I lose them.
You should expect people to question your product, especially this product, especially when you've opened a post hawking a commercial product like this, especially when most of us have spent many years using much more simple, convenient, workable means.
Getting argumentative won't help sell your product any more than posting in the wrong place.

The biggest problem I've ever had with plastic tags like this one is that they tend to get caught in the rollers in the TSA Xray machines. Then they break.
I guess its good for guys who do KCM everywhere, but for those of us who do International, the X-rays in places like Doha, Kuwait and even CDG are pretty outdated. A plastic tag won't survive long.

You're advertising where you shouldn't be.

BTW, I understand it's a different product and new to the scene. When most of us transitioned from steam gauge to glass that was a big change too, but I don't know too many people flying big metal that would rather go back to conventional displays and navigation either. We eventually accept and embrace change and most of the time like it for the better (except for maybe the last 7.5 years ). My soul intent was to spread the word about this new product because I sincerely believe it is a good product and can help those that use it. It is the first crew tag using this new technology and you cannot fault me for posting to a pilot forum for a product geared towards our demographics.
