I was wondering about this. In the Navy guys carried 'no shave chits'. Basically a license to have a 5 day stubble because of a medical condition.

If you guys want to grow beards then go flight instruct or fly corporate. I don't want to see Captain McFacePubes saying goodbye to passengers and I know they don't either.

I suspect the vast majority of the ones that even look at the captain don't really care.

I have a middle eastern look
Can you just imagine me walking into a cockpit With a beard in any US airport ?

I get this question asked often where if my skin color is ever a concern from friends and family

Having a clean shave does look clean, presentable and professional but how many other professions have you seen where the guy has a beard
I always find it unprofessional when I see police officers showing there arm/forearm tattoos.
Cover it up. Especially in court rooms
