My father and I are currently 85% through on a Highlander, a two place side by side taildragger with a 28 kt stall speed and a pretty respectable payload

I'm building an A-380 out in my garage. Problem is, all the wire bundles are 6 inches too short....

Years ago, I helped a good friend build an long-ez (he even let me take it around the pattern once in a while). Most of the memories I have involve endless sanding. But when all was said and done she was one awesome looking a/c. Last I heard it was still airworthy too.

Dang! Now I'd like to see that project. Couldn't you just get plenty of electrical tape and splice them one at a time?

When I was a kid I'd go by HEB and get their balsa banana crates and make wooden planes out of them. Put a gas powerd engine on them and flew them till I was about 15 and then got to ballsy and the wind took her from me.

Not a real plane..... Someday

Do radio controlled airplanes count?

I've been building those for 30 years. I've crashed more of them than I care to count.

Well if it was big enough to sit in and fly it around then I guess it would count.
