Senator Harry Reid Sues Exercise Band Company Over His Injuries.
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/10/08/us...ries.html?_r=0
"Senator Harry Reid is suing a company that makes and markets a flexible exercise band that he says broke or slipped from his hand during an arm-strengthening routine on New Year’s Day, causing the veteran lawmaker to fall and sustain face, rib and eye injuries.
t calls the elastic resistive exercise band, the TheraBand, defective and unreasonably dangerous, particularly for the elderly, who might have trouble gripping it without handles.
The lawsuit alleges negligence, liability and failure to warn consumers about “dangers that may result from the use or foreseeable misuse” of the Theraband.
The band was mounted to “a sturdy object in the bathroom,” according to the suit, but it snapped while Mr. Reid pulled on it, causing him to spin around and strike his face on a cabinet at his new home in the Las Vegas area."
Wish I could've been there to see that!
What is a sturdy object in the bathroom?! The towel rack, shower bar, faucet? These bands are great. They are cheap and are great way to workout on the road. You just have to use COMMON SENSE before using it, inspect it first and tie it to a pole or tree. Now he's gonna raise the price on these things due to excessive insurance. It's probably made in China anyway.

At least the therapy band was proven to be a true IQ test.
Maybe we give them out to all the incumbents.
PS I've used these things may times and my bet is on Operator Error or a friend got in a Biatch Slap when he wasn't looking.
