Stories like this rarely make the popular press, but they confirm my conviction that people, all people, are at their very cores good people, compassionate, kind, and empathetic. We have to be "taught" to be jerks.

It's nice to focus on good people for a change.

What a wonderful story! Unfortunately, the jackasses always make the news and the good guys usually don't. Most flights I've been on, especially in the U.S., have good-hearted people who are willing to help fellow pax. Whether it's helping someone stow their bag, switching seats so families can sit together, helping someone on/off with their coats, etc., it really warms the heart. It always makes my day when someone helps me and I always try to return the favor.

This is cool! I had a United flight attendant do the same thing on a 4 hour leg once. Mom needed a break so he took her baby and walked it up and down the isle for 30 minutes. It was awesome!
