Interesting to watch unfold...
Boeing says it sees demand for 6,020 new planes, valued at $870 billion, over the next two decades in China, accounting for 45% of total demand for airplanes in the region.
Seems Boeing definitely wants to be a player in China and is opening a new 737 finishing plant in China as part of the deal to land the 300 aircraft order.
China has accounted for nearly a quarterly of Boeing's single-aisle jet deliveries in 2015 so far.
China is now home to many budding low-cost carriers because Beijing lifted restrictions on creating new airlines earlier in 2015.
Competition with Airbus in China.
Boeing isn't the only American big boy heading to China as General Electric is moving some of its power turbine work to China due to the expiration of the Export-Import Bank's charter and Caterpillar and Joy Global already have plants in China.
