POGGI is named after a kind of fish (pogy) or maybe the italian word for knoll (I think it is on a small hill). I've been vectored there before, not quite seeing the humor...?

Suffolk County is probably not pronounced "FOK", it's probably pronounced "Suffolk County".

We do have the BONDO intersection (MZB 007).

The most entertaining ones that I'm aware of are fixes on the primary ILS's to SFO..

ROCKME

HEMAN

DUYIT

Given how many people fly that approach daily I'm not sure how they get away with the rather suggestive nomenclature.

You would have to of heard the specific transmission.

As you know Brown Field has a lot of cross border flts.

The humor was one of those, had to of been there kind of humor.

The way this P/P PIC pronounced and used the Nav Air in his reporting was hilarious.

There are some people in the FAA that still have a sense of humor.

But unfortunately with the advent of YouTube et. al. it's unfortunately been toned down.

I miss this days of simplicity and fun.

It was a kind of a "Right of Passage" when a PIC walked out with his/her very own set of Jeppsen's, (and was proud he could finally afford them ).

Now everything's been replaced with a Tablet or other PED.
