For that, I've been tempted to put up my home made "DND" sign that paraphrases a "No Trespassing" sign that I saw:" If you truly believe in eternal life, disregard this sign, and knock."

Especially when it's your fellow crew member(s). Or, when you're in a La Quinta with paper-thin walls and your FA in the room next door decides to have a hot and heavy dirty talk session on speakerphone with her boyfriend. On a min rest overnight.

When returning to the hotel, just politely ask them to see if the room key is still good. Or play the dumb "I think my room key may have timed out".

Either way, saves the initial wait on the elevator, the return wait to go back down, followed by a backed up line of other customers waiting to get your key.

Hotels that have removed the microwaves out if the rooms and instead now have one MW for the entire hotel...300+ rooms.

When I am in line to check in and the phone rings. Instead of taking care of the call, the clerk should put them on hold until it is the caller's turn. i.e., 3 people in line, the caller is 4th. If anyone gets in line after the call, then they're taken care of after the caller on hold.

Works great until you are that caller and the next and the next. Then, you don’t quite feel the same way.

Perspectives perspectives.

If the clerk is being honest with the order, then why does it matter? I know that if I call a hotel and a clerk asks me to hold (especially when they say that there are people in line), I understand and don't mind one bit. A queue is a queue, whether it's on the phone or in person. It's pretty cut and dried.
