Good movie. (not too realistic flying though)

I'll second both of those nominations. That dream sequence when Holly was ghostdancing with Richard Dreyfus....

I'd add both Audrey Hepburn and Marg Helgenburger since they were in that movie.

Maybe we need to have a thread for hot archetype babes in flying movies. Wild4theuniform, Skygirl, and Vagabond could counter with archetype males that will keep us guys in our places.

Pete Sandich: [Speaking to Dorinda after he's dead] I know now, that the love we hold back is the only pain that follows us here.

-And WTF happened to Meg? I saw her in a commercial on a NRT overnight and the only thing that came to mind was "trainwreck". She didn't deserve that to happen to her.

Yeah, I'm still waiting for Vagabond's response. She never seems to respond to any posts that her fellow sisters make though. I want to live vicarously through her experiences with her F-18 fighter jocks, Alaska pilots, and whatever other pilots she's been with. I'm still not sure which kind of pilot her husband is, or if he is all of the above?

What exactly is a "womanly woman"?

You caught me offguard with your request for "archetype males that will keep you guys in your place." The first ones that come to mind are (and DON'T laugh!!) -- Dean Martin as Captain Vern Demerest and George Kennedy as Joe Petroni in one of my favorite movies of all-time, "Airport." When I first saw the movie at Radio City Music Hall, BTW, I remember thinking, "damn, those guys are soooo confident and rugged." Sigh, not much has changed since then, I'm afraid...

Meg Ryan - did she have some sort of plastic surgery that didn't quite work out well? She is one gal who shouldn't have messed with what she already had. People at the Ranch used to tell me that I resembled her - I never saw it though. I liked the movie "Always" too. I haven't seen that movie in years, maybe it's time to re-watch it.

A little bit has changed. Size matters, I'm told.

Capt. Vernon Demerest: All right, Daddy. You tell me about when you were a war hero. You flew those pursuit jobs you could land in a parking lot. But when I'm setting down over 200,000 pounds of 707, I want something under my wheels that's plenty long and mighty dry.
"They don't call 'em emergencies anymore. They call 'em Patronis."

Jean Seberg..... sigh.....
