Relationships and Aviation

+1000 on the "right girl."
Ms Cardiomd doesn't give me a hard time if I said I'd be home at 7 PM and don't roll in until 8:30 because I had a late case, a chatty patient, or dealing with a complicated procedure. She allows me to spend a significant amount of money on non-essential pursuits like aviation. She doesn't suspect that I'm seeing another person if I get a phone call from the hospital. She is not the jealous type and is a wonderful woman. I'm very very lucky and see that every day.
In return I give her my infinite love and respect - she has a career too and I am flexible however I can to cater to her needs.
Thinking back I once dated the jealous or suspicious types with lots of flaws, and marriage to them would not be so peachy, even though they might have been great looking or some other reason they were 'desirable' at the time. If you have reservations don't be pushed into marriage. But once there, try your best to make it work and just be flexible reasonable and loving.
Women (or men) who like to start "drama" might be great when young but it will lose its appeal very quickly. Marriage requires working things out together constantly. Lots of compromise and personal inconvenience. Worth it IME.
