This country has the largest supply of clean, sanitary drinking water in the world and we spend billions (with a B) on discretionary bottled water. Read some time where that water comes from. A lot of it is (shocker) tap water from a municipal source that is filtered and bottled.
I drink hotel tap water...I also wash out the cups with hot soapy water before I put my mouth on them.
There are people in other parts of the world that would literally kill for the water that people here turn their noses up at.

This logic should lead us to drink straight out of dogs mouths, not toilet bowls.

Yet answers are evenly split. Not to mention a nice break from petty airline bickering (which has still managed to find its way into the thread).

We'll see how you are after 1 year of regional airline service... Maybe even as soon as 6 months..

Go to Target/Wallmart etc and buy a couple of BRITA water bottles. Filter is built into the cap, and can be changed out. Hotel sink water is probably safe and potable, but it may not taste good. Highly recommend the BRITA bottles! Saves you $$ on not having to buy bottled water...

Great tip, as well as the suggestions to commandeer aircraft water.

And Jvw, I'm still in class buy I seriously doubt they prohibit pilots from taking water. There's not an airline in the world that stingy, not even Great Lakes or Ryanair.
