They know how to make money from it, the sub-industry they have built in opposition is much larger in value than the real cost of all drugs produced-that is where the money is if you wish to claim the "moral" high ground. Cartels on one side and military, banks, LEO, prisons and confiscation on the other. Two parallel and symbiotic collections of very big business'.
Military involvement (not counting USCG) has always been minimal and relatively low cost. Even more so since 9/11..it's never been something the military really wanted to be doing.

A few junkies shuffling off isn't a big problem, what is a problem is a multi billion dollar industry that has infiltrated the top levels of several countries.
We can't fix junkies, we can fix most of the problem by taking the money out of it.
Darwin can fix the junkies, the real cancer is the kind of money involved-it becomes a universal adapter for the worst kinds of motives at all levels.

We have our own little backwaters here. The false assumption is that drugs make people druggies. Tall buildings don't make people want to jump off for the most part.
Mr. and Mrs. Jones are not going to start shooting heroin, they already know better.
Education helps, but eventually we are going to just accept the loses and march on. The criminal enterprise from the street level on up is what causes the real damage.

Darwinists are confused people. They believe in "survival of the fittest", yet they seem to put human life a tier below the animal kingdom. With all of the protections of "endangered" species, WWF, etc; yet if they really believed in Darwinism, then they would be content with animals and "less fit" creatures being killed off.

Content or not, it matters not what we think, around 95% of flora and fauna have met their end as a species over the course of time. They will continue to do so, we are not an exception.

Another great message for the kids
Yeahhh, that's a GRREAT message for kids!
You gotta love libertarians
How about good parenting and teaching kids the right things. The Reagans " just say no" campaign is something from my childhood that I will never forget; it's engrained in me. That and the notion that my parents would have KILLED me kept me from ever thinking of using.
