Default Good bye parents, C-ya next year!

Is anyone else happy to see their parents take off? Mine decided to non-rev out of here tonight! HooRay! Man are they a pain in the a$$. I was doing pretty well on my "Fat Bastard" diet until today. I am down 10 pounds in less than a month. I think I gain about 4 today. My mom can't help herself, she just keeps on cooking until we all pass out.

So good bye to the criticism, re-gifted gifts, control of the TV, gossip and the tornado in the kitchen. At least this time I don't think anything is broken. When I get the leaf blower and clean up, who knows what I will find?

I'm a hell of a nice guy to let them on the property! The kids is the only reason. Hey, congrats if your parents are wonderful. My mom is a pain.
And BTW they did not pay for college or flight trng.

Sorry, it is your business anyway, not mine. Happy holidays and a great new year.

Yeah, one can never make judgements about another's family visits. One time my former mother-in-law, my mother, and myself were in the kitchen doing the "woman's work" while my ex-husband and his father were sprawled out on the couches watching football. I was elbow deep in baking dough and my toddler son had a load in his pants. I asked my husband to change his diaper since he wasn't busy preparing the feast, and my former mother-in-law berated me for asking her son to change his son's diaper. I looked over at my mom and she was quaking in her boots!...LOL...ahhh, the joys of family visits during the holidays!

I have no idea why that last memory came flooding back! Mike, I guess something you said triggered an old holiday memory!
