Sochi Olympics
Time to put aside the chants of "Go Seahawks" and replace with "Go Curling!"

Skating…really???
Too each his/her own…but I just can't get into skating. I work in a SCIF and our white noise generator has been a TV tuned to olympic figure skating all week. Every routine seems exactly the same…some sort of interpretive dance on skates interrupted by twirling jumps that are exactly the same but have different names (axle, lutz, etc…) And, those preening princesses (I am talking about the "men") in their disturbingly tight outfits.
I am not saying it is not difficult…I am sure it is. But, so is juggling…another fairly worthless activity designed to draw attention to the person doing it, as if to say, "Hey guys, look what I can do!" But, I guess most of the Olympic events can be described the same way. I did enjoy the speed skating and ski jumping, though.

Headed to Russia on Thursday and will be watching the remainder of the games on t.v .
Btw received this interesting e-mail from DAL.
Dear Passenger,
The U.S. Transportation Security Administration has directed that no liquids, gels, aerosols and powders of any size be permitted onboard flights between the United States and the Russian Federation in any passenger cabin of service. These items may be placed in customers' checked baggage. Prescription medications will be allowed.
Additionally, customers traveling between the U.S. and the Russian Federation will need to personally check-in with a Delta representative at the airport. Online, mobile and kiosk check-in will be unavailable. Delta encourages customers traveling to and from Russia to arrive at the airport at least two hours in advance of departure time.
Thank you for choosing Delta.
