LOL! Remember, you can only tie the record for the lowest pass.

I'm sure it's somewhat due to the editing and meshing of several "runs", but I'm curious how they "pop" the chute at the end. Saw one example of this, but do they carry enough extra energy to trade it for altitude at the end? (or at any point it may be needed?) Amazing stuff.

Very cool, very beautiful. And unnecessarily dangerous.

I've done low, fast flying in fighters, where if I have a problem, I can usually count on the ability to pull-up and get away from the ground.

I don't think the wing-suits have much more than 1.5g available before they stall.

The risky parts are the close passes to the rocks and trees. Shears/downdrafts near the rocks? Not much g to fix your problem before you feel infinite g.

But going through the trees, I kept thinking: "What would he do if a bird decided to fly out right now, and he hit it?

A vampire bat returned to the cave and tried to rest, but the other bats pestered him: "Hey, where'd you get that fresh blood on your face? You gotta show us!" Finally, he gives in and says: "Follow me." He leads them down the mountain, through the valley, and into the forest. Coming to a hover, he asks: "Do you see that big tree over there?"
"Yes! Yes!"
"Good.....I didn't."
