I reviewed my checkbook recently and saw a trend that could explain the never ending demand for money. This is on a monthly basis:

Beer $322
Starbucks $166
New .40 S&W $500
More Beer $199
Ammo for new gun $150
Coke $96
Pretzels $55
Ruffles $27
Sam Adams $127
BMW repairs $750
SpagettiOs $69
Little Caesars $88
Polaris ATV $6800
Beck's Dark $55
Gloves $29
Speeding tickets $175
Lawyer to get me out of speeding tickets $650
Guinness $78

I am still going through receipts and stuff so I will know more of where my money goes. Any suggestions on where I can shave a dollar off here or there would be appreciated.

Ok, I'll bite. I can see spending nearly $1300 for beer every month. Like chocolate, it's a major food group. Why do you buy an ATV every month? And if your BMW requires so much in repairs every month, you have got yourself a lemon and should really return it.

I also note that there is nothing in your budget for staples like toilet paper or light bulbs. Oh wait, you get those from the hotels.

The ATV and BMW repairs were obviously once a month expenses. The BMW repair (actually a deductible) was courtesy of a 400 pound deer, God rest her soul. TP, shampoo, conditioner, light bulbs, lamps, towels and bedding are all supplied courtesy of Mr. Sheraton. Aside from uniforms, a couple pair of jeans and a polo or two keep me clothed. I just bought a John Deere cap for $12 which I recognize as unnecessary spending. I just had a stressful day and was weak so I bought! No ATV this month but I have had my eye on this new woodworking tool at Sears for $1899.

I am willing to buy quicken or some financial planning software to help with my finances but then I will need a new computer to run it on - see my dilemma? It just never ends! I just realized it is my sister's birthday next week and I only have $9 in my wallet. Screw it, I will just mail her off a card in the morning.

If all you eat is Spaghettios, Ruffles, Pizza, pretzels, Coke, and beer, you're going to have high medical expenses in a few years. Eat a salad every now and then.

I have a solution; trade positions with me. You will not be able to spend any more money that way. You can't spend what you don't have. At least that is what I've been trying to tell my wife.

I hear the lettuce in salads is sprayed with pesticide and not good for you! I don't want to compromise my ability to fly to 65.
BTW, I also enjoy red licorice, beef jerky and hot tamales. I felt the chips and pretzels needed some competition.

Skygirl, Is Kari one of our posse girls? I don't believe I have ever met her. Perhaps we can have a party and I will bring the chips and coke?

It has been proven that expenses will rise to meet income.
