Default Wicked Newb Q

I found APC on my recent decision to start trying to get a real flying job, you know, one that pays Peanuts + per Diem, instead of just Peanuts!!

Anyways, I was wondering, after looking at all of the pay scales, what the normal progression would be within the company. Hypothetically I got hired to a company with 737, 757, and 777. If I started off as an FO in a 737, would my upgrade be to captain in a 737 or to an FO in a 757? I guess the same thing would apply to the frax jets to.

Just curious really.

Thanks!

You'd probably work your way up the FO ladder for awhile until you are the middle of the pack and then you can probably hold a captain's bid. There are too many factors to gve you a perfect idea though. What base do you want? What kind of schedule? (Maybe a senior FO on the 777 works better for you then Captain on a 737) Maybe you only want to stay at your base so you don't have to commute. Do you want to be home at night or do you want a long thrre day trip and get it over with? It all comes down to QOL.

Cheers
